LA to Shine the Bat-Signal in Honor of Adam West

It was a real blow when we heard about Adam West’s passing a few days ago. For many of us, he was our first exposure to Batman. Well, the bat-signal will shine in the skies of Los Angeles tonight (6/15) as a tribute to the late actor.
The city’s mayor Eric Garcetti and police chief Charlie Beck will switch on the signal at a public event at City Hall at 9pm. Fans are invited to attend the event in costume and the event will also feature surprise “Bat-guests.” You can follow the event with hashtag #brightknight.
Adam West was Batman before it was cool, before it was dark and brooding. He paved the way for the Batman we know today, and he will be missed.
