Star Wars Episode VIII Title: The Last Jedi

Disney has just revealed the official name of Rian Johnson’s upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII. It’s called Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The word Jedi can be both singular or plural, so this does not tell us anything. It doesn’t mean that Luke will die, and no one expects Rey to die this soon into the series.
We have no idea what it means, but it is a cool title, if an odd one for the middle act of a trilogy. It may not be a trailer, but at least it is some new news on the much anticipated follow up to The Force Awakens. The movie is arriving in December, so we will be hearing more news very soon.
