Legends of Tomorrow to Meet Young George Lucas

by Conner Flynn

The CW’s time-traveling superhero series Legends of Tomorrow will apparently feature a young version of George Lucas when the show returns for its midseason premiere. Actor Matt Angel has been cast in the role of the director in an episode is titled Raiders of the Lost Art.”

“Because of circumstances, the time aberration in episode 209 is George Lucas quits film school,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim tells EW. “As a result, he never makes Star Wars or Raiders of the Lost Ark. As a result, Ray, who became an engineer because of Star Wars, and Nate, who became a historian because of Raiders, slowly start to lose their brilliance, because those things that inspired them to become who they are didn’t exist.”

The upside is no prequels. Maybe the gang can find a way to restore Lucas as a director and only erase episodes I, II, and III. I wish. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns on Tuesday Jan. 24.
