Listen to Stephen King’s “Batman” Story

A Stephen King Batman story? That is the holy grail of nerd-dom right there. But don’t get too excited. The story is called Batman and Robin Have an Altercation. It mainly focuses on the relationship between a man named Sanderson and his aging father who is suffering with Alzheimer’s Disease. No so much on the dynamic duo.

It is about heroes, love, loss, and family, and is really a great story. You can hear it right here, read by actor Stephen Lang for NPR’s Selected Shorts podcast. It starts at the 5:30 mark. If you are a Batman or a Stephen King fan, you will want to check it out. I think you will be surprised.
