Analyze the Relationships Between Star Trek Characters

If you have ever been curious about the myriad character interactions in the Star Trek universe, Star Trek Viz is a site that you need to check out right away. Created by Chicago data scientists Datascope, the website generates interactive graphics which represent the relationships between all the characters. The visualizations are actually quite beautiful, and displayed in an LCARS style interface.

You can select from the movies, series, seasons, and even individual episodes and see how all of the characters interacted. It is a geeky dive into the relationships of Star Trek. Each character is represented by a circle that is weighted by how many interactions they have with other characters in the selected criteria, and the lines between characters are weighted by the number of interactions those characters have with each other. Pretty cool.
