Mars Miniseries Extrapolates Manned Mission to the Red Planet

The trailer for National Geographic’s upcoming miniseries Mars is an intriguing peek at the half-documentary, half-science fiction drama. Produced by Imagine Entertainment co-founders Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, Mars’ fictional tale will be about the spacecraft Daedalus‘ six-man crew, which will attempt to establish the first human settlement on the red planet. Grounding the tale in reality are interviews with experts including astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, and Apollo 13 astronaut James Lovell.

Mars will premiere on November 13 on National Geographic. Check out the miniseries’ website for a fictional press release on the Daedalus mission.
