New Star Trek Television Series Gets First Teaser Trailer

CBS has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Trek television series. It will be arriving in January of 2017 on their very own digital subscription channel, CBS All Access. While it doesn’t tell us anything, this teaser takes us on a quick journey through the stars and lets us know that there will be new crews, villains, heroes, and worlds. Then it shows us the show’s new logo.

I wonder if this is a section of the show’s actual intro. Whether it is or not, I am digging the style of the special effects. The new logo is interesting and I wonder if there is any significance to the fact that it is sliced vertically. Hopefully we will learn more soon.
