Darth Maul: Apprentice

by Conner Flynn

If you are a fan of Darth Maul, you will want to clear 15 minutes of your day to watch this superbly well done fan made prequel film titled Darth Maul: Apprentice. It was written, produced, directed and edited by Shawn Bu. It focuses on the early days of Darth Maul as he faces off with a Jedi team in some epic lightsaber battles. And these lightsaber battles here are much better than that slow ballet caca from the official prequels. The choreography is awesome. The story here is pretty good too. It is worth your time.

“We worked incredibly hard on this film for almost 2 years! We always felt that Darth Maul should have had more screen time,” Bu said. “So we wanted to create a film just for him with the best lightsaber fights we could do! This is not based on any books, comics etc.”

For a fan made film, the team knocked this one out of the park. I hope they make more films like this.
