Star Trek: The Next Generation – A Shot from Every Episode
February 1st, 2016Star Trek: The Next Generation is still my favorite among all of the Star Trek series. With its blend of action, humor, melodrama, unique characters, and big budget effects, it was the perfect weekly entertainment back in the late ’80s and early ’90s.
Recently, a YouTuber going by the name Shaleraven decided to pay tribute to TNG by creating a compilation video that features a single piece of footage from every single episode of the show, played in broadcast sequence. The shots weren’t selected for their relevance to the overall plotline, but due to their visual or emotional impact. I’m also happy that he or she decided to include The Riker Maneuver, and Jean-Luc sipping some tea.
In the end, it plays out a bit like one of those Oscar montages that pays tribute to a recently departed actor, which I suppose is a loving way to remember one of my most beloved TV series. Bravo, Shaleraven for a job well done.
