Build Your Own Star Trek Phaser
January 22nd, 2016If you have ever wanted your very own Star Trek phaser, but didn’t want to buy one off the shelf, this video from DIY Prop Shop will help. In case you haven’t seen this series, they take basic household items and turn them into realistic looking movie props on the cheap. In this case they use materials like wood, PVC pipe, a few dollar store items, spray paint and a few other items to build a phaser replica.
The end result looks pretty good. The most expensive part was the piece of wood which cost about $7 (USD). The total bill of materials came out to $12. That’s not bad at all to make a cool looking phaser for your desk. Go ahead and try your hand at making one. May your build live long and prosper.
