Gingerbread Voltron: Defender of the Bakery

This is the most delicious and colorful pile of sugar to ever escape from ’80s cartoons. What you are looking at is a nicely detailed Gingerbread Voltron, Defender of the Universe. It was made by cake artist Gonzuela Bastarache of Kupkake Tree Cakes. She probably assembled each individual lion piece and waited for a threat to the universe so she could assemble the whole thing and save us all.

Lion Force Voltron has never looked so delicious. I love all of the details, which look completely accurate. It’s perfect. This delicious treat was created for Gingerbread LOVE, a gingerbread art event. This one definitely deserves to win. How could you eat something this beautiful?
