Not even the most rose-tinted of glasses could lend this costume a drop of dignity, but it’s undoubtedly a rare specimen. It’s a “muscle tunic” that Christopher Reeve wore for his first Superman film. He wore it while shooting the flight scenes, with the flying harness attached via the two large holes on its sides.

Nate D. Sanders is auctioning off the tunic only until 11/19/15, with the starting bid at $50,000 (USD). I don’t even want to know what the full costume would cost.
