The Terminator Genisys Climax without VFX

by Conner Flynn

Check out this behind-the-scenes video from Terminator: Genisys. It gives us a look at what the climax of the film looked like without any of the special effects. Spoiler alert: It actually looks very silly. It just goes to show you, there are many layers that go into making an effective and good looking scene. They don’t always look fantastic when you are shooting them – especially against a green screen.

It also gives you an idea of just how much CGI was used in the creation of this film. It’s strange seeing the actual footage that was shot after you have seen the final cut of the movie. All of the movie magic is completely wiped away when we get to see how the sausage is made. Pretty weird, but pretty cool.
