Official Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Drops
October 19th, 2015If you happened to be watching Monday Night Football tonight, you already saw the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. If you didn’t, you can catch the trailer right this second, right here.
The 2+ minute long trailer is packed with new footage, and just like the poster we featured the other day, there’s no Luke, which has me concerned. It’s possible that he makes a brief appearance at 1:40 – with a prosthetic hand and wearing a black hood, but that’s all we’ve got. It doesn’t help that the mysterious Kylo Ren is hovering over the melted mask of Darth Vader vowing to finish his work. Or the fact that Leia is crying on Han’s shoulder. Has Luke turned to the Dark Side? Maybe Kylo is their child? Or Luke’s child. Who knows?
I’m also curious to know why our young new protagonists only seem to be vaguely aware of The Dark Side, The Jedi, and The Force – like they were fairy tales from a book.
But enough of my yakkin’. Watch the trailer and start combing through it. Your fan theories will be the closest we get to the movie until its release on December 18th.
