Terminator: A Synthwave Tribute

by Paul Strauss

The original Terminator epitomized the neo-futurist looks, sounds and hairdos of the 1980s. While Brad Fiedel’s original theme music was pretty awesome, Andrew Parkhurst’s tribute track, Sarah’s Fate is even better. It perfectly captures the synth sounds we so associate with the era, incorporating Fiedel’s music and slathering on some fat analog layers. It’s like the soundtrack from Drive had a baby with a T-800, and the end result is ’80s perfection.

Listen to the track for yourself above, then download it over on Soundcloud.
