Pump It up with Custom Star Trek Heels

When it comes to sci-fi collectibles, exclusivity and rarity are the biggest concerns. Etsy artist AshtonAtelier has discovered what I believe is a unique way to create one-of-a-kind women’s heels for Star Trek fans that will make you stand tall among their Trekkie peers.
The difference is that you don’t find the heels you want and order them. You find a pair of heels you already own, send them in, and the artist paints the Starfleet emblem on one sole and of four Star Trek insignias on the other: Command, Science, Engineering or Medical.
It’s a really clever and creative twist, and no two pairs will be the same. To get an example of the concept, check out the boldly colored prototype examples on the site, which are really striking. The painting costs $50(USD), and AshtonAtelier has 74 out of 74 5-star reviews for her work, which is a great sign about her quality craftsmanship.
So if you have an appropriately colored pair of sexy heels sitting in your closet that you rarely wear, give them a custom intergalactic makeover and you’ll be the belle of the next Star Trek Ball you attend.
