Parents Upset About Slave Leia Figure for No Good Reason
July 16th, 2015

According to Fox 29 in Philadelphia, parents are outraged over this Slave Leia figure from the Star Wars: Return of the Jedi toy line. This toy is on store shelves all over the country, but some parents say the action figure intended for kids 4-and-above is way too inappropriate for kids of any age.
A shopper who saw the doll at a Target store, “They’re like ‘dad why does this doll have a chain around its neck?’. I don’t have any answers. I’m just blown away looking at it,” Other shoppers had pretty much the same thing to say, because you know, some people these days have zero common sense, but volume 10 vocal chords.
Let me make this simple for everyone. Despite the age suggestion on the box, you need to use your common sense. That is just a guideline. We all still fully expect you to use good parental judgement. If you don’t want to give it to your kid, then don’t. If you do give it to your kid, maybe you can explain that she is simply a prisoner because Jabba is a bad bad slug. Kids actually get adventure you know. They are a lot smarter than their politically correct social justice warrior parents.
If you are a terrible parent who has never shared the original Star Wars trilogy with them and/or watch a ton of weird bondage movies with your kid present, that is the only way they are gonna think this is a perverse or bad figure. And if they ask, try actually talking to them and explain it. God, do I have to raise all of your kids for you? Get a life and stop complaining about everything.
