Stan Lee to Chronicle His Life in Graphic Autobiography
May 25th, 2015

How could you not love comic book icon Stan Lee. Handsome, stylish, funny, talented, creative and one of the driving forces in American popular culture for as far back as I can remember.
So how do you capture such an amazingly cool and colorful life? Simon and Schuster just announced that Lee will pen a graphic autobiography that will not only examine his life but also “the story of how modern comics came to be.” The book, which will be illustrated in full color by the amazingly talented artist Colleen Doran, will have the very subtle and understated title, Amazing Fantastic Incredible – A Marvelous Memoir.
According to the publisher, the book will progress from Lee’s “impoverished childhood in Manhattan to his early days writing comics, through his military training films during World War II and the rise of the Marvel empire in the 1960s to the current resurgence in movies.” The hardcover book, which will also come in audio and ebook formats, will be ready for the public by October of this year. You can pre-order a copy now over at Amazon for just $22.
I am certainly going to get it for my son so he can see that being a doctor, lawyer or accountant is not the only way to achieve the American dream.
