Despite the fact that an actual Star Trek/Star Wars crossover will likely never happen, many of us have wished for such a thing, if only for the sheer ridiculousness of the idea. Fortunately, we don’t have to use our imaginations any longer, thanks to the genius of YouTuber Sonof Spork, and his trailer for The Carbonite Maneuver.

In this alternate version of 1985, Lucas and Roddenberry sat down for a nice cup of tea, worked out their differences, and let their worlds collide in the ultimate sci-fi mashup, as the crew of the Starship Enterprise faces a foe worse than Khan.

It truly is a cosmic spectacle unlike anything we’ve seen before.
