The MARVELous DB should be high on your list if you want to know about a Marvel creation. This impressive website is an impressively robust guide to the world of Marvel characters and comics. While there are other Wiki-style sites out there, The Marvelous DB is more user-friendly and visually pleasing than others if you ask me.

You can search the database on a variety of dimensions, including character names, aliases, occupations, powers, place of birth and more. You can also dice and slice the data based on a variety of different Marvel universes. Characters are cross-referenced to the comics in which they appeared, and each character’s bio page includes personal stats, details on their origin, key plot points, associated groups and more.

The data is actually provided by Marvel’s own API (who knew they even had one), so it should be as reliable as it gets.

I’m hoping that with time, they’ll expand their collection of data to encompass the Marvel cinematic universe as well as cartoons and television shows.
