The R2-D2 Airplane

In celebration of the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Japanese airline ANA will be decking out one of its 787-9 Dreamliners with a very special paintjob. Yes, this massive airplane will be dressed up to look like none other than R2-D2.

Sure, it’s a bit of a stretch to see the astromech droid spread out over the body of a jumbo jet, but he’s all there – just a bit distorted. The airplane will take to the skies this Fall, though the C-3PO plane is nowhere in sight.
