Rare First Sketch of DC’s Wonder Woman Heading to Auctionzoom in

The first known sketch of Wonder Woman by artist H.G. Peter is headed for auction. If you have a huge bank account you could get yourself a slice of comic book history.

The sketch is redered in pencil, ink and crayon. It is a concept illustration that measures 13″ x 18.75″ and shows Wonder Woman in a short star spangled skirt, sandals, bracelets, royal headband and the eagle crest emblem on her chest. The drawing was made for Dr. William Moulton Marston, the creator of Wonder Woman. It comes from Peter’s personal estate and is from 1941. Peter was the original artist for Wonder Woman when she premiered in DC’s All-Star Comics #8 in December of 1942. This really is a rare gem of comic book history. You are getting more than just the drawing though. It also has comments and feedback written on it by Peter and Marston.
