Artoo in Love
April 1st, 2015This charming short video comes from writer and director Evan Atherton, TRUE MVMNT, Grant McKinney, and Sargam Atherton. It takes a lot of talented folks to make a short like this. Artoo n Love is about R2-D2’s journey to find love.
R2 encounters several droids along the way, but there is only one droid that he is looking for. That droid is R2-KT. It is about a droid love found, a love lost and love found again.
This cute video is very well done. I think what struck me the most was the quality of the sound and musical cues, which are channeled straight the original trilogy. You can check out some behind-the-scenes photos on the Artoo in Love website. I’m glad the little guy found someone.
