Terminator: Genisys TV Promo Reveals New Footage

Here is a new extended TV spot for Terminator: Genisys. Among other things it gives us our first real look at J.K. Simmons’ detective character. This “Help” TV spot also has John Connor repeating the line from the original. “It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. There’s a storm coming. And it won’t be stopped”.

There are other pieces of new footage, but the most interesting thing to me are the shots that look like they’re right out of a previous Terminator films. Which make sense since they are going all Back to the Future 2 with this sort of sideways reboot thing.

Does this new extended promo make you want to see this movie? It didn’t do a whole lot for me, but I’m hoping this is something more than just toying with the timeline. I’m hoping there is an actual watchable movie under all of the “look at us, we’re clever” moments. Terminator: Genisys will be released on July 1.
