R2-D2 Fridge Droid
March 14th, 2015We still have nine months to wait before The Force Awakens arrives, but the Star Wars merch just keeps on coming. This tiny little R2 unit sits in your fridge door and beeps at you if you leave the door open too long. He’s complaining because you are wasting electricity. Plus he knows you don’t really need that snack. He can probably see your belly.
The R2-D2 Fridge Droid was designed by Japanese company Hamee, and stands just over 4″ tall. The droid is light sensitive, so when he detects the light in your fridge turning on when you open the door, he starts complaining with bleeps and bloops or one of 15 different audio clips from the Star Wars films, and his head goes around.
