Steampunk Star Trek Tricorder

DeviantART members Arsenal Best make a lot of high-quality steampunk cosplay outfits and props. One of the props that they made for their Starfleet uniforms is this detailed TR-560 VI tricorder from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Their Steam Trek tricorder has a brass metal shell with wood veneer and brass inlays. It looks just Steampunk enough for Star Trek and not overdone.
In fact this would have been a good looking prop for Star Trek TOS. I can see Kirk, Spock or McCoy using this on a planet’s surface, say during the Wrath of Khan era. It looks like a perfect compliment to the costumes that Arsenal Best created for sure.
