Chappie Featurette: Day of Reckoning

Neill Blomkamp’s Chappie is headed to theaters later this week, and I’m getting more and more excited to go see it. In this featurette, Blomkamp and actors Dev Patel, Sharlto Copley, Sigourney Weaver, and Hugh Jackman speak about the inspiration for the story, and share just a bit more action footage from the flick.

Blomkamp does a great job seamlessly melding the real world with fantasy in his films, but he also is skilled at creating characters we really want to root for. Combining his directorial and storytelling skills with an impeccable eye for visual effects should make Chappie a real winner. Robo-fingers firmly crossed.
