Short Film: POLIS

by Conner Flynn

POLIS is a sci-fi thriller set in the distant future. Despite that future setting, it will leave you wanting more right now. The short film is about a telepath who is searching for his mother, but in doing so, he threatens to reveal a utopian society’s secrets. The government is also searching for his mother, hoping to use the telepath’s brain to locate her before she can reveal the secrets that they have kept hidden.

This short won the Defy Media and New Regency Prototype competition and it’s easy to see why. That means that the creative team can develop this short film into a feature film, and that is something I am really eager to see. This is one to keep an eye on.

The short is fast-paced and intense. I can only imagine how great it could be as a full-length film.
