This video from The Warp Zone has a Jedi and a Sith facing off in battle and then stopping to discuss the functionality and usefulness of the crossguard lightsaber. Both sides make some valid points, but in the end I think it shows the true power of the crossguard design. I won’t spoil it for you, but it’s basically all about dick moves.
