Sigourney Weaver Tests Her Alien Flamethrower

One of the most iconic weapons in the Alien franchise is the M24 Incinerator Unit, better known to most of us as the “badass flamethrower.” What makes this weapon even more special is that its flame wasn’t created using CGI or animation, but that it was a practical fire-breathing gun (at least in the original Alien.)

Robbie over at io9 spotted this awesome behind-the-scenes shot that’s up on Xenopedia: The AvP Wiki showing Sigourney Weaver taking her flamethrower for a test run on the back lot at Shepperton Studios. Presumably, she didn’t burn the studio down, as they did manage to finish shooting the movie after this.
