Smithsonian Channel: Dragon vs. Helicopter

by Paul Strauss

Last I checked, The Smithsonian Channel is supposed to be about history and science, but that hasn’t stopped them from hopping on the fiction wagon to increase viewership. Case in point, this video clip which pits a mythical dragon against an Apache AH-64 helicopter. They even go so far as to provide statistics on the length of the dragon and the temperature of its fire breath as if they’re scientific facts. Has the Discovery Channel taught us nothing?

I really don’t remember this battle from history class, but then again I had a tendency to drift off while doodling in my notebook in school.
