Guardians of the Galaxy: 8-Bit Edition

by Paul Strauss

If ever there was a Marvel movie crying out for an old-school video game adaptation, it’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Loaded with crazy and imaginative characters, a prison escape, space battles, and even a multi-stage boss level, the movie itself seems to have been heavily influenced by video games.

So it only makes sense that David and Henry Dutton from 8-Bit Cinema would turn their attention to the flick. The classic platform gameplay looks like fun, but it’s the chiptune version of the ’70s music that really makes it shine. And while it’s definitely more SEGA Genesis than NES in terms of graphics and music, I’m more than willing to forgive them.

Now when can we have a playable version of this?
