Chappie (Trailer 2)

Neill Blomkamp’s movies are all about tackling big ideas, and his latest movie Chappie is no exception. This robot can think and feel, and it gathers a family of humans around him who care, while others want him destroyed. The man who created Chappie wanted to see if he can make a machine that thinks and feels like a human child. Chappie is a success who does just that. The robot is kidnapped by a pair of criminals, who grow to care about Chappie as well.

But it’s not all good feels. There is plenty of danger. Vincent thinks that robots with this kind of emotion are dangerous. He and his superior see Chappie as a threat to the future of mankind. They want nothing more than to destroy the robot. They will stop at nothing to do it. Chappie is learning what it means to be human, while humans are out to destroy him. Expect some strong emotion, along with intense action and intelligent filmmaking in this movie.
