Indiana Jones vs. The Roller Droid

R0-T8, the Disneyfied roller droid that appears in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer for a split second, has become a meme unto itself. Concept artist Reid Southen had a funny thought when watching the trailer that the spherical droid reminded him of another iconic movie prop – the boulder from the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark. So he did what any enterprising geek with access to VFX software and YouTube – he mashed up the two.

The end result is a hilarious alternative scene in which Indiana Jones is about to be crushed by a giant rolling droid, sputtering silly droidspeak like “bleep bleep bloop whoop bloop!” and “waaa weeeooo!”
