Make Your Own 3D-printed Working Stargate
December 6th, 2014I have to admit, I’ve never been a fan the Stargate series. I just found it boring and unimaginative. But even I can appreciate this 3D printed Stargate that actually works. By “works,” I mean you can set the dials to rotate however you like, but it still won’t let you jump to other worlds.
If it wasn’t obvious, the image above has a photoshopped center. You can make your own Stargate too. Just 3D print the parts and then add a motor and a programmed Arduino. It measures just over 16 inches across, so it is a good size for display. If you want to make one just check out the instructions here and here.
