Terminator Meets Robocop in Epic Action Figure Mashup
December 5th, 2014

Terminator and RoboCop are a couple of my all time favorite films – for very different reasons. Terminator was the start of James Cameron’s auspicious career, and did the whole time paradox genre proud. On the other hand, Paul Verhoeven’s RoboCop was a bloody and cheesy gorefest, infused with a healthy dose of political satire.
So what’s better than a T-800’s creepy exoskeleton and Peter Weller turned into an emotionally-trapped cyborg? Both of them in a single action figure!
Custom action figure builder John Mallamas (aka Jin Saotome) started out his build with NECA’s detailed RoboCop figure, then swapped Officer Murphy’s head with that of the T-800. He also modded the arms so they can take the terminator’s metal hands, and then painted it in brilliant colors to match the style of Frank Miller’s RoboCop vs. Terminator comic and video game crossover.
Sadly, this custom build has already been sold, and John/Jin isn’t taking custom orders at this time, so for now we’ll just have to enjoy the photos.
