Terminator: Genisys First Trailer Drops

Wow. I have to process this. On one hand, watching this trailer makes it clear that Hollywood is beyond lazy. If Hollywood used to be lazy, it has now become the ultra-obese bedsitter getting airlifted by crane to the hospital. We’ve seen everything in this trailer in previous Terminator movies.

On the other hand, I want to give this movie the benefit of the doubt as it is supposed to a remixed version of Terminator and Terminator 2. You see when Kyle Reese goes back to save Sarah Connor, things go wrong.

So is this a good movie that simply intertwines with the previous ones and gives us a new twist on things that came before? Or is this simply an excuse for lazy writing so they can rehash and make some money? I’ll reserve judgement for the moment, but I will say they seem to have gotten the whole future war atmosphere right in this one.
