Battlestar Galactica Remastered with New VFX

This is like a dream come true. I’m talking about the original Battlestar Galactica with new effects that look more like Ronald D. Moore’s recent reboot. Even though I would like to see a remastered Babylon 5 more, this still has me excited.

Adam “Mojo” Lebowitz is behind a new push to release a restored collection of the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica series with brand-new effects. What you see here is a demo reel that shows off what it might look like. I have to say the added VFX blend in pretty well with the footage. While Galactica’s cheesy VFX will always have a special place in my heart, I would love to see this series get updated with the choice to watch either the original or new version – or both side-by-side.
