The Great Sousaphone Lightsaber Battle

While the sound effects for Star Wars’ original lightsaber were created by Ben Burtt using a complex mix of sounds, there’s no question that the main hum has a whole lot in common with the buzz of a sousaphone. So it makes perfect sense that a couple of sousaphone-playing Star Wars geeks would duel each – playing their instruments to the death. While the video is pretty clever, I think they should have used their sousaphones as the weapons, and skipped the toy lightsabers. I also love the bit where one of the kids yells out “Somebody die already!” Nice, kid.
