More Geeky Thrift Shop Art by Dave Pollot
November 3rd, 2014

Artist Dave Pollot digs around at thrift shops and antique stores looking for the kind of paintings your grandmother would have in her living room. But he doesn’t just hang them on the wall as-is. Nope, he makes them much better – by adding elements of geek culture to each and every scene. And he’s continued to hone his craft since we first stumbled onto his work last year. From Star Wars to Ghostbusters to Futurama, to MST3K and Star Trek, no painting is safe from reinterpretation by Pollot.
While I’m trying to stay on topic here with images which are science fiction or fantasy related, I had to share this one with the Kool-Aid Man too, since it’s my favorite. Oh Yeah!..
You can purchase originals, prints and posters of Pollot’s repurposed thrift shop art from his Etsy store.
