Disney’s ESPN 2 to Air Star Wars Halloween Special
October 31st, 2014We knew that Disney’s purchase of Star Wars would lead to some wtf things and here is one of them. ESPN 2 has a Halloween-themed Star Wars special that will air on SportsNation. Yes you read that right. A Star Wars Halloween special. On ESPN 2. On SportsNation.
Here is what you can expect from the special, which will have the show’s hosts taking on iconic characters like Boba Fett and Yoda. Sadly, I think we can expect a lot of nonsense like this in the coming years. The Hollywood Reporter says:
ESPN2 is going all out, revamping the SportsNation set to look like the Millennium Falcon. The special will highlight sports clips under Star Wars-inspired categories, such as “Best Jedi Mind Trick” and “Most Unstoppable Skywalkers,” as well as premiere an exclusive sneak peek at an upcoming Star Wars Rebels episode.
Remember how the Star Wars Holiday Special turned out back in the day? What is wrong with you corporate idiots? Maybe it will be fun, but more likely it will be painful.
