WALL-E x Interstellar
October 21st, 2014We already know that any movie can be made to look more dramatic by trailer editors. After seeing what Spaceballs might look like in the style of the trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, we’ve got another trailer done up with a similar aesthetic. In Bobby Burns’ mashup video, he envisions what WALL-E might look like if Pixar promoted their films like Nolan does.
Given the heartfelt subject matter of WALL-E, the trailer seems like a really good fit with the content. Though I think it could use a philosophical voiceover from Matthew McConaughey to complete the effect. Maybe something like “time is a flat circle” or “sometimes you gotta go back to actually move forward.”
