Star Wars Imperial March Played on Eight Floppy Drives

by Paul Strauss

So what’s better than the Star Wars Imperial March played on a pair of floppy drives? The Imperial March on eight floppy drives, naturally. MrSolidSnake745 and his floppy drive orchestra turned in this impressive performance of the imposing John Williams piece, replicating the melody with the buzzing, humming and grinding of stepper motors.

I’m imagining an army of LEGO Star Wars figures lined up as Darth Vader makes his entrance between the rows of old floppy drives. Sadly, that doesn’t happen in the video, but you do get to watch a bunch of floppy drives sitting on a desk.
