Batjuice: James Franco’s Batman/Beetlejuice Mashup

by Conner Flynn

This is a pretty funny sketch from James Franco for his AOL web series called Making A Scene. Basically they spin the “Wheel of Movie Scenes” to find out what the mash-up scene they shoot will be. This one is brilliant. The spin brings together the Banana Boat dinner scene from Beetlejuice and the Joker “make a pencil disappear” scene from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. Yes, this idea is as awesome as it sounds. It’s like that wheel knows what’s funny.

Pretty entertaining stuff. In fact I’m gonna call it comedy gold. The sketch is called “Batjuice,” and the scene involves Batman, the Joker, Catwoman, Beetlejuice, Lydia, and Robin at a dinner party. It all ends with them lip-synching to “Day-O”.
