Doctor Who Theme: Guitar Effects Edition

In this video demonstration of Electro-Harmonix guitar pedals, musician Bill Ruppert shows off how to replicate Delia Derbyshire and Ron Grainer’s classic theme song from the original Doctor Who using nothing but a guitar and analog effects pedals.

While it’s not a 100% accurate remake, it’s still really impressive. It’s even more impressive to think they were able to make these sort of sounds back in 1963 – without the aid of synthesizers. For reference, here’s the original theme:
