Space Command Trailer
September 2nd, 2014Back in the summer of 2012, sci-fi writer Marc Zicree and Michael Reeves, along with British director Neil Johnson teamed up to Kickstart a new project called Space Command. It looks kind of intriguing, despite the fact that some of the scenes make it look like one of those cheesy 1990s live action DVD/video games.
The idea is that it is a series of feature films inspired by classic ’50s science fiction, that will “follow the development of the United Planets and Space Command as mankind steps off planet Earth to terraform and colonize the rest of the solar system and explore the galaxy.”
Yeah, sounds heavy on the Star Trek influence, but it does look like it could be entertaining. The storyline will span over 200 years of “epic struggles and victories of mankind’s future history in space.” The first teaser showed up at Comic-Con last month, but now the rest of us can check it out. It looks like they managed to get a lot of recognizable stars, which is a bonus.
