The TARDIS Little Free Library
August 17th, 2014

The idea behind the Little Free Library movement is to encourage neighbors to share books when they’re done reading them. And while most of the little libraries we’ve seen look like oversized birdhouses, we rather prefer this one that looks like a TARDIS.
It was made by Etsy artist Lending Library Box from wood with an aluminum roof, and even has LED lighting built in to light up not only the books, but the police light on top. And this thing is designed to withstand the elements, having been tested through golfball-sized hail, 70 MPH winds, and thunderstorms without so much as a leak. Though it’s yet to have been tested through time and space travel. Or against Dalek attacks.
It’s clear a whole lot of work went into building this, but at $4,200(USD), only the wealthiest of Time Lords will be able to put one in front of their homes.
