Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: VFX Reel

Showing the before and after clips side-by-side of the motion-capture actors and the apes they are portraying demonstrates the capabilities and effort that went into bringing the fictitious apes to life.
In the film, a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes involves a group of scientists in San Francisco struggling to stay alive in the aftermath of a plague that is wiping out humanity, while Caesar (Andy Serkis) tries to maintain dominance over his community of intelligent apes. A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
The cast includes Jason Clarke, Judy Greer, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell and Kodi Smit-McPhee. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is the sequel to Rupert Wyatt’s revival of the sci-fi franchise Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Directing is Matt Reeves (Let Me In, Cloverfield), from a screenplay written by Mark Bomback, Scott Z. Burns, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is scheduled for release on July 11, 2014.
