Star Trek: Axanar Fan Film Trailer
June 12th, 2014Remember that Kickstarter that raised funds to make the independent fan film Star Trek: Axanar? The goal was $10,000 (USD) and it exceeded that in just 14 hours. That was three months ago and now we have a trailer.
Axanar is a planet situated on the border of Federation and Klingon space and that is where the Battle of Axanar took place. The battle was mentioned in TOS. You might also remember that this was the episode where Kirk talked about his hero, Garth of Izar. He was captain of the USS Ares and this fan feature will revolve around him. Honestly, if you ask me, this is way better than what J.J. has done. It really captures the tone and spirit of Star Trek and it has real substance. This feels like Trek! Enjoy.
