Star Wars, Return of the Jedi Told in Iconoscope
May 22nd, 2014

Artist and illustrator Wayne Dorrington takes on the fairly complex storyline of Star Wars Episode VI – Return of the Jedi and recreates the tale in Iconoscope form. This was the longest of his Star Wars Iconoscopes (see A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back) and ended up longer than he’d expected. Apparently, the number of sets, costume changes, and vehicles was just far larger than he’d found in the prior two films and this one, therefore, takes 155 horizontal panels to tell.
The slave Leia cheesecake begins on panel #14 with Boba Fett falling into sarlacc pit in #28. We love the technical details behind these Iconoscopes.
